hello again

It has been awhile. A long while since I have posted. I suppose I became discouraged in my writing. The many blogs that I try to keep up with- they overwhelm me. I am often so touched by the writer's thoughts that I feel there is too much to live up to. Silly me. I write mainly for myself. To express my innermost thoughts. Who really reads these things anyway? So here's to catching up....I was inspired by another blogger here to write out (for myself) where I currently stand in life. I thought it was an interesting exercise to do both now and maybe a month or so from now and evaluate where I've been and how far I've come in my journey of bettering myself for the glory of God. So as of May 16, 2012.....

what moves me
God's faithfulness even when I am unfaithful
song
powerful words  inspired by the Holy Spirit
cups of coffee
my sweet husband's endless hard work
sunshine-y days
opportunity
second chances
hope

what overwhelms me
the future
the fear of the unknown
blank pages
confrontation
insecurity
not understanding God's perfect timing
feeling out of sync
feeling anxious
the fear of failure

what makes me angry
unnecessary disorganization
bad drivers
jealousy (especially my own)
impatience (yep, most especially my own)
pride
people unwilling to commit
things that are still the same after much prayer and seeking
misunderstandings
inability to communicate well

what makes me smile
belly laughter
blue sky
my "new-to-me" car
creating
sensing the Lord's presence
a new magazine
lit candles
a full pantry and refrigerator
reassurance
standing on God's promises

It happened.

I can’t believe it has happened. I have succumbed to the blogger’s world. Actually I’m surprised I held out this long. For as long as I can remember, writing has been one of the few ways I am able to express my true thoughts and feelings. Whether with the old fashioned pen and paper of my leather bound journal or with the sleek back-lit keys of my MacBook- I become vulnerable. In the last year I have begun to follow a few blogs myself and it has been a surprisingly huge blessing in disguise. I used to make fun of bloggers to be quite honest. Sharing life with the entire cyber universe seemed pretty ridiculous at the time. However, quite often do I have the privilege of sitting down at my desk and read about the lives of those who chose to put themselves out there. I have found myself in tears as I relate to so many of their stories, fears, failures, realizations, excitement, laughter, and the list goes on. It has truly been encouraging to say the least. I suppose that is why I decided to begin my own blog. Because I realized that perhaps by sharing my life experiences, failures and hopefully triumphs- I will in turn, up-lift someone else. So hello world- be good to me!
