Hi there. My name is Kendra K. I am 28 (?!) years to date. I am married to my very best friend and love of my life. We have spent 8 years (& counting) experiencing the faithfulness & goodness of our God together. I can't imagine life without him. In May of last year, our lives truly changed forever. We brought our firstborn son in to the world. Aiden, meaning "little fire" (which couldn't be more appropriate, little did we know!) has brought an incredible amount of JOY to our home. The journey of motherhood has proven to be more scary, less natural, and more challenging than I could have ever imagined. No one writes the magnitude of this truth in your baby shower greeting card. However, I have never loved more, thought of myself less, or been more grateful than I am being this boy's mama.
This blog is a place to records our story. A story about hopes and dreams, mixed in with failures and defeats. A story of motherhood. Of messy kitchens and full stomachs. Of attempting to be less OCD, not so Monica Geller-ish, but instead sit at the feet of Jesus every chance I get. Of ditching the deep, ugly instinct to compare and just be grateful.

Warning: my story may be a hot mess at times....a lot of the time...due to the major tendency to follow the nature of my flesh. Nevertheless, I hope that somehow my story and my simple thoughts will encourage you in some way.
